Soccer game at youth hostal
What a day yesterday was. Rainer had asked for a harbour to be able to watch the soccer game Germany versus Brazil even before he had arrived. I could not promised in advance, but with this weeks perfect weather forecast I planned to be in Fejsan. We even called in advance to make sure there was a possibility to watch TV and got the information: "Yes in the youth hostal accessible with a code ".
To be on the safe side to get a harbour place we were recommended to arrive before 15 o'clock therefore we started on time to ensure this important arrival time.
Lorena and I were brave and took a morning swim. After breakfast we headed out and set sails to be challenged immediately in the narrow passages by Viking Line, Tallinn and other ferries needing to squeeze past us. Rainer was worried first we would get hit! We managed well getting out of their way, but after a while I figured tacking with so much of that huge traffic was unwise, so we motored a while. After half an hour we could leave the main passage but still head towards Fejsan, so we sailed again in great conditions. Lorena even steered for a while under sail this time. Just before 15 we arrived at Fejsan harbour and a young lad with red T-shirt pointed us to a place at the end of the pier with mooring lines. My crew did a perfect maneuver getting the line back to me quickly,  but the line dissappeared almost straight down into the water having little function keeping the boat from the pier. When trying to take another mooring we noticed that that one was caught under our boat wrapped around keel and probably rudder. Now Lorenas and my rescue mission started with using the boat hook and dinghy to push the mooring under the keel. We managed by lengthening the mooring with one of our own lines and fastened the boat correctly finally. Still I believe our mooring was wrapped around another because it still did not go back rather sideways into the water. This theory was hardened by one new boat arriving after us discussing his similar problem with me.
Finally after this rescue mission we went to shore and had our beers in the harbour restaurant with a nice lounge. Life is great!
We continued with a walk to the Rökeriet where we bought smoked shrimp and fish which we immediately snacked on. Then we had sauna reservation for 19-20 and strengthened ourselves with dinner before the game!
And then the GAME, who would have guessed it would end 7:1. I am really thankful Rainer wanted to see it so badly, because I would have missed it otherwise!
Today we get breakfast at the cafe here and then head north to Arholma.
At 16.20 o'clock Bjarne will join for the passage over to Åland on Thursday, yeah!
