Finally summer seems to have arrived with temperatures that allowed me to wear my new mini-skirt yesterday as well as just needing a T-shirt when docked.
In Finnhamn after seeing how the neighbors in the boat next to us went swimming naked Lorena followed into the only 16 degrees warm water talking a dip. She really qualified to be a Swede!
After a delicious blueberry pancake breakfast that apparently also landed in places not supposed in the kitchen, we left the harbour and set sails in light easterly winds. Our passage went through narrow areas with a lot of sailboats either passing us (sad but we have a comfortable boat not the fastest) or coming towards us that needed my complete attention steering. Both Lorena and Rainer got into regatta mode adjusting sails to get the most out of the wind constantly or tacking as well as jibing. I loved it,  so much fun! Luckily Rainer found time to prepare us lunch sandwiches as well as coffee in between. So we sailed with a very high comfort level!
Early afternoon we reached our natural harbour Granö, that Lorena and I had picked out the night before. As soon as the swing anchor was set Rainer announced he would go swimming. When finding out the water here in this natural harbour at Granö was 20 degrees he quickly stripped naked followed by me to go swimming. Absolutely fabulous experience, I even swam to shore and layed down on the warm sunny rocks. When we arrived only one other small motor boat was docked fastened at land. 3 other sailboats followed our example to swing anchor for the night. So at dinner we had more company.
Oh yes, Rainer a great cook had decided to do Jansons Frestelse (Swedish potatoe casserole) with me for dinner. He started enjoying looking forward to this plan already in the morning. It turned out very great!
I went to bed very tired just after sunset.
My apologies for no proof pictures of naked bathing ;-) nor many during sailing today,  hope you understand!
Tonight we will end up in Fejsan where we have ensured there is a TV for Rainer to watch the soccer game!

  1. Lovely pictures, lovely weather, only the Pripps folköl (3.5%) hurts a little :-)
We're off to Norway next week, wind permitting - if not, it will be the Swedish west coast, yeah!
Hope you continue to have a great time, rock on! Wolfgang (yes, the fireball guy!)
